Never thought i would get excited about ironing - I hate having to do it. This iron thought takes that irritating cord out of the equation. All the things that you think might be lacking in a cordless iron have all been thought of alreadya and eliminated by Panasonic. This iron gets and stays really really hot - steam is powerful and the recharging base unit means there is never any chance of having an iron with no power. ANd of course....NO CORD !
Buy it - you wont be dissapointed.

I'm a quilter who has a pressing station on my sewing table for in-process pressing of seams, fusible applique, etc. I prefer a cordless iron because of limited space. Previous cordless irons have proved either inefficient (not hot enough) or unreliable (drip water all over the place) or didn't have auto shutoff. The Panasonic solved all those problems. It gets as hot as one could want, stays on for 10 minutes which is perfect while piecing, and hasn't dripped one drop of water yet.Customer Review: Exactly what I wanted

I just used this iron for the first time, and I love it. Ironing goes much quicker without a cord.
I had no problems with heat, and the steam was strong.
One nice feature...when you set the iron back on it's base (while you're adjusting the clothes), you set it on the base and fancy little rollers glide it into place. So it's really easy to set it down and pick it up.
I just ironed three shirts, quicker than ever.

This iron is amazing! I've been using it for about 5+ years now. I love the removable water container and the base but the absolute best feature is that it doesn't have a cord to get caught on everthing. My only complaint is that I didn't buy 2 of them and stick one in the back of the cupboard when this one is done...however...it gets used on 7+ outfits per week and is still going strong. Bought the iron 2 months ago after reading the reviews and wanting to be FREE of a cord! Both my husband and I love it. He is left handed and did appreciate the cordless. We have used it to iron jeans, shirts and some crafts projects such as using iron on tape to put ribbons on a bag. All did very well. The price was very reasonable. I would highly recommend it to anyone who is wanting to try a cordless.
