Tools and Hardware Reviews of Panasonic NI-L45NR Cordless IronCustomer Review: Another great cordless product Summary: 5 Stars
I dislike ironing and have tried various methods to make it less undesirable. First I purchased a contraption that kept the cord away from the clothing being ironed. Then I bought one of the early cordless irons, which was very heavy and cumbersome to use -- I returned it. About a year ago, I got a very inexpensive cordless iron that only lasted a year. It never did get very hot, but it was OK. I was playing around on ebay and discovered that a name brand manufacturer was now manufacturing a cordless iron. I checked customers' reviews and decided to try once more. This iron is excellent: the cord retracts; the thermostat is accurate; it comes with a storage case. I appreciate the design and couldn't ask for a finer iron.
Customer Review: First time I've ever enjoyed ironing Summary: 5 Stars
This thing is great: without a cord, you can switch it from hand to hand easily. No cord to tangle or try to avoid. No cord to tempt the cats to bite or pull on. And since it lays almost flat when it's reheating in its base, it's not going to tip over and crash to the floor.
Water reservoir pops off for easy refill. And for doing dress shirts, at least, rearranging the shirt gives the iron plenty of time in its base, reheating, so it's always up to temperature. Steam is strong enough to get the job done, but don't expect billowing clouds of it.
This is the first time I've ever enjoyed ironing. It's relaxing, instead of feeling like I have to worry about it all the time.
Customer Review: Much easier to iron this way! Summary: 5 Stars
I have had this iron for several months, and with it, I almost don't hate ironing. (There's no way to make it fun, but a cordless iron makes it so much easier.) I love the removable tank, because I can just put it right under the faucet to fill. It is also translucent, so you can see how much water you have.
The iron stays amply hot when I need it to. You have to set it back on the charger, in between passes. That takes some getting used to, but I do not consider it a problem. I like the case and the retractable cord, as well. On the whole, I find ironing safer and simpler with the Panasonic cordless iron. Lastly, it is less expensive than other cordless irons that I shopped for.
Customer Review: You will love to iron! Summary: 5 Stars
When the iron arrived, I just wanted to try it out quickly to make sure I liked it, but then I soon found myself ironing everything in the closet. This heats up quickly, and yes, it gets quite hot, much hotter than my old Black and Decker iron. This iron stays just as hot between ironing "sweeps." The weighted heating base that you set it on actually helps your ironing board to feel more "stable," and since you set it down horizontally, you don't have to worry about the iron falling off and crashing onto the floor (like before). Plus, no cord to work with! YIPPEE! This iron is terrific.
