An automatic power-cord rewind, an automatic carpet-height adjustment, and a swiveling stretch hose make this upright vacuum exceptionally convenient to operate. The 1440-watt vacuum includes a HEPA filter to screen out allergens, a headlight to illuminate its 12-inch cleaning path, and a tool package consisting of a dusting/upholstery brush, a crevice tool, and two wands. Rewinding the 28-foot power cord requires only the push of a foot lever. The automatic carpet-height adjustment results from a floating nozzle that moves the brush agitator up and down. Other features include edge groomers to remove dirt near baseboards and furniture, a handle that lies flat for under-furniture cleaning, and a motor protector that automatically provides cooling air when a clog occurs or the dust bag needs changing. Additional protection comes from a washable motor filter. Assembly requires only that the handle be attached to the vacuum. I have an older Panasonic Vacuum Cleaner that I purchased in 1992 and it still works great. I purchased it mainly for its light weight, great suctioning power, and the quietness of its operation. You can easily find bags for it at large home improvement stores and many discount stores. I have never had a problem finding replacement bags. The vacuum also has never been repaired.
